A comprehensive Director of Shooting Control System for Target Archery

The Director of Shooting Control System (DoSCS) is a comprehensive computerised system for the timing and control of target archery events.

The system is written in C for real-time performance, has millisecond accuracy and records every time and action taken into a database for reporting as the event progress and, through the archive process, on previous events.

Changes to the DoS personnel is reflected in the log and reports.

You can choose many different methods for the controlling the sounds and signals. From a  switch box connected to the USB port controlling lights and sound, onboard audio production, to repeater displays or LED/LCD modules, the choice for displayed output and audio control is maximised.

Simplicity in Operation

Once configured for your tournament the shooting control screen displays seven large buttons for keyboard, mouse, dedicated keypad or dedicated touch pad operation.

In normal use press the START button to commence the shooting sequence, then either wait until the time for the detail ends or if completed earlier, press the DETAIL COMPLETE button. It’s as simple as that. The appropriate number of audible signals are given automatically along with the light signals and/or LED display updates.

The other buttons are for the pre-defined events; EMERGENCY, BOUNCER, EQUIPMENT FAILURE and ANNOUNCEMENT with the RESUME button to resume the normal shooting sequence after one of those events occurring.

Only buttons that are permissible are enabled which changes through the shooting procedures. The EMERGENCY button is enabled at all times.

Each pre-defined event is recorded as that event together with the times and any log entry made at the time. The system comes with its own help system for reference.
